Boise State's Albertsons Stadium with fan B

32 Stadiums 32 Days treks on today with a stadium that is almost more known for the color of the field than the play on it. Oh, who are we kidding, it's definitely known more for the color of the field. Of course we're talking about Albertsons Stadium, the home of the Boise State Broncos.

Despite the great success of the team has had in Albertsons, winning 104 of 110 home games since 1999, most people recognize Albertsons Stadium due to its unique blue artificial turf, which was the first non-green playing surface in the history of football! Coined "The Blue Plastic Tundra" by legendary ESPN personality and football analyst Chris Berman due to its color and cold climate, the field is also know as "Smurf Turf" and players often refer to it as simply "The Blue". In October 2014, Boise State's blue field topped USA Today's Fan Index list of top 10 best fields in college football.
