Arizona State University ASU Blackout Game

This Saturday, October 10th, is Arizona State University's annual "Blackout Game" coming against Colorado. No, this doesn't mean that ASU's fans go to the game so inebriated they don't remember the final score (well...maybe they do, but that's unrelated). It means that the fans all wear black to the game instead of the customary maroon and gold attire. Some fans even paint their skin for this game. Well, maybe not this year, at least if Arizona State administration has any say on the matter.

From ASU Athletics:

As an inclusive and forward-thinking university, it is important for us to foster an environment in which everyone feels safe and accepted. Therefore, we discourage the use of face paint at any event, whether the theme is black, maroon, gold or white, and ask our fans to show their Sun Devil Pride in other ways.

We look forward to working with all of Sun Devil Nation on continuing to show our support in ways that all of us can appreciate and embrace.

Here at College Tanks we're all about showing support for your team, but, at the same time, not so much about black-face. So maybe instead of the paint at this year's blackout game you rock our officially licensed ASU Black Out Tank Top by Hurley? Now only $25!
